Search for Programs in Your State

 

This one of a kind online database allows you to search for an existing program in your state. The types of programs included in this database are:

  • Peer education programs are engage youth in HIV/STD and pregnancy prevention among their peers. Peer education programs are located in schools and universities, clinics, youth-serving organizations, community-based groups, and religious institutions.
  • Campus groups are support/activist/community groups for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) youth based in colleges across the United States.
  • Gay straight alliances (GSAs) are support/activist/community groups for GLBTQ youth based in high schools across the United States.
  • Youth groups are community-based support groups for GLBTQ youth. You can contact or visit them for support, referrals, information, and community.
    They are a great place to meet other young people in your situation.
  • HIV support groups are support groups for HIV-positive youth. HIV peer
    education programs are also listed with these support groups.
  • HIV vaccine trial sites and community planning groups (CPGs) are listed together. Thousands of clinical volunteers, scientists and health professionals are working hard to find an effective HIV vaccine at HIV vaccine trial sites thoughout the world. HIV prevention community planning is mandatory in the 65 state,
    territorial, and local health departments that receive funds from the federal government for HIV interventions.
